The Foundation:

The Core accounts are the foundation of the Account-Ability program.  Providing user name and passwords as well as "digital lockers" for every student. The core accounts are necessary to install and run any of the available “add on” features.

 


The core accounts are built automatically upon installation and running of the software.  They are dynamically created by pulling data from your student administration system and transferring that data into Microsoft's Active Directory™ or Novell's NDS™.  Student's will be able to log into the network using their individual ID, in this case their student # (user name) and a combination of their name and birth date (password).

This will appear as the log on screen for Microsoft.  The student will enter their User Name and Password and will then be “logged in” at a particular work station.  This can be at school or home depending on the chosen set-up.

Accounts are updated on a routine basis at the time desired by the network administrator, usually set to run at night.  This allows for new students or withdrawn students to be added or deleted automatically for the next day keeping the database accurate and up to date.

For complete Automation Requires:                              ODBC, XML, CSV or SASIxp.  Custom Automated database connectors available at no extra charge.

Requires - Microsoft Active Directory ™ or

Novell NDS ™

All other modules require the installation of the Core Accounts in order to operate.
