This is a great addition to the core accounts and features the ability to link directly to a student's schedule with a storage space and drop box for each class!

 

The Homework Interchange creates a folder structure based on the student/teachers class schedules.  The students as well as the teachers will have access to their folder structure via a mapped drive or a desktop shortcut.  The set up can be chosen by the network administrator.

The teacher/student will have the same view of the Homework Interchange but will have differing access capability:

Students can access their own “ digital locker ” which will be designated by their student number.  Upon gaining access to the “Interchange” the student will see a folder for each class to which he/she is assigned.  Each class folder is designated by the course name to make it user friendly.  Upon opening the class folder the following options will be available:



Assignments can be saved/stored inside the “ digital locker ” the size to be designated by  the administrator for the template user.  Students may also access the “Common” folder to share information or the “Outbox” to retrieve assignments. The "Inbox" is for students to turn in assignments electronically. The “Common” folder is both readable and writeable to allow for sharing of information. (optional)


Teachers will have access to a folder structure that includes all of the courses they teach.  Upon access the teacher will see the folders designated by period and course name.  By clicking on a folder the teacher will see a group of  “digital lockers” with student numbers for each student assigned to that particular class as seen above.  The teacher has access to the “Outbox”, “Inbox” and “Common” folder as well as the student folders if the network administrator sets the permissions to allow that access.  If this access is granted, students/parents should be made aware of this before allowing students to save information to their folders.
